Canon Europa N.V. Terms & Conditions
1. PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS, PROMOTIONAL PERIOD, PARTICIPANTS AND PROMOTIONAL TERRITORIES
1.1. This promotion is only available on purchases made of any of the products listed as eligible products on this site (the “Promotional Products”) within the Promotional Territories (see below) between 1st November 2025 to 31st March 2026 inclusive (the “Promotional Period”).
1.2. All Participants (“Participant”) must be aged 18 or over and must be resident in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland or United Kingdom (the “Promotional Territories”).
1.3. All Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1.4. All Promotional Products must be new and genuine Canon products. Purchases of second hand, refurbished or reconditioned products, or products which are counterfeit or infringe the intellectual property rights of the Canon group of companies in any way (for example, including but not limited to parallel or “grey” products) will not qualify under this promotion. 1.5. The Promotional Products must: (i) be owned by the Participant on the date of the claim: (ii) be registered to an address within the Promotional Territories: (iii) where applicable, have been supplied and distributed to retailers either by a Canon Group Company or by authorized Distributors located in the EEA: and (iv) have been purchased from a Canon Group Company, from a retailer within the Promotional Territories or from an Internet store with a domain or a registered address within the Promotional Territories.
2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
2.1. To enter the promotion, the Participant must purchase a Promotional Product within the Promotional Territory during the Promotional Period AND submit a valid claim online between 00.00 on 1st November 2025 and midnight on 30th April 2026 (Central European Time).
2.2. Claims must be submitted by fully and correctly completing (including specifying a valid EEA product serial number) a claim form online. Participants will need to scan, upload and attach to the online claim form a copy of their till receipt, or order confirmation for internet purchases. Participants will then receive an email confirming that their claim has been received. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of processing your claim, or do not have access to a computer, please contact our Claim Hotline on 0800 044 3251.
2.3. The Promotional Products are subject to availability while stocks last. Canon will not be liable for the failure of retailers to fulfill orders of Promotional Products during the Promotional Period.
2.4. Canon will not process any claims received after the closing date for receipt of claims of midnight 30th April 2026 (Central European Time) . Canon will not process claims which are in its opinion incomplete or illegible. Canon will not be responsible for claims delayed or not successfully received.
2.5. Participants can submit claims for up to five Promotional Products purchased and will receive only one software license activation key (as specified in Section 3 below) per Promotional Product purchased.
2.6. Claims by businesses or individuals who make bulk purchases (being more than five Promotional Products during the Promotional Period) will not be eligible to enter this Promotion.
2.7. This promotion cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other promotion.
3. OFFER
3.1. Participants who submit a valid claim will receive a unique software license activation key for Readiris PDF Essential or Readiris PDF Elite ( the “Offer”) depending on Promotional Product purchased.
3.2. Once the claim is verified, Canon will send an email containing:
3.2.1. A unique software license activation key; and
3.2.2. A download link to install and activate the software.
3.3. No alternative arangement will be offered. The software license cannot be exchanged for cash or any other item.
3.4. Canon aims to send the email communication within 28 days of receiving a complete and valid claim.
3.5. For each Promotional Product included in a valid claim, one software license actication key will be issued. Participants may receive up to five license keys per claim, in accordance with Section 2.5
4. THE PROMOTER
The promoter is Canon Europa N.V. 59 Bovenkerkerweg, 59 1185 XB, Amstelveen, Netherlands (“Canon”).
5. DISCLAIMERS
5.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon’s employees or agents.
5.2. Canon reserves the right to void, amend, and/or change this promotion at any time without incurring any liability whatsoever.
5.3. Canon reserves the right to audit any claims to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and to request additional information and supporting documents. Canon reserves the right to exclude claims and/or Participants if it suspects that the promotion is being abused in any way. Canon’s decisions in relation to the promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. DATA PROTECTION
6.1. Canon Europa N.V., 59 Bovenkerkerweg, 1185 XB is the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants. Any personal data submitted to us will be processed by Benamic Ltd, IDA Business & Technology Park, Ring Road, Kilkenny, Ireland for the purpose of administering this Promotion. The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the EEA.
6.2. The personal data collected from Participants is subject to the Canon Business and Canon Consumer Privacy Policies available at https://www.canon-europe.com/privacy-policy/
7. LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms and Conditions and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands and will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts.
